Native American Village Creation

One of my closest and dearest friends and sisters, Jerilyn Skyface Flowers (Aunt Sky as many affectionately call her) is very ill and has only a couple more years of life left before she returns home to God. She lives a simple life which entails being in service to others. She will continue in service until her journey home. While she prayed she was moved to gift a couple of Tipi's to Soul Medicine, Inc for our community to use and that she would help make. The story continues...

Our community is in the process of teaching our young people, as well as all walks and ages, how to return to a sustainable way of life. This entails learning many many things. Some include how to plant and grow a large community garden that will feed many. As well as re-creating a Creek and Cherokee village where we will live in peace and harmony with all our relations. Where we will honor each other and care for our Mother Earth. A place where we will learn to live within the cycles of the weather and the moon. This will take much teaching but is something that the Creator has laid upon our communities heart. We wish to live and teach peace, love, and harmony with nature and all our relations.

With this vision come tangible costs. The material cost of the tipi needs to be returned to Jerilyn Skyface Flowers. She is on disability and very sick so we need to take care of her. We need to give a donation to Twelve Stone Farm for the wear and tear of us being on the land as well as using the facilities while we sew and build. The costs of the land, supplies, equipment, state and federal paperwork for the NAC, etc.
