Lucky Two Times Animal Advocacy Programs
Donation protected
We are asking for donations to help support the less fortunate animals who have been abandoned, abused, neglected and in many cases dumped in rural West Texas. Here at this sanctuary we have thirty eight animals in our care, most have disabilities and are on medication or require special attention. Our family is made up of animals that were surrendered by law enforcement, picked up on the side of the highway by good samaritans and in several cases from abuse and neglect. While we cannot understand why someone would be so harsh as to treat an innocent animal with such harm or abandonment, we can however provide a loving and caring place for those fortunate animals that were given the chance to be "Lucky Two Times" and to be under our constant care and affection. Our family is made up of dogs, cats, horse, chickens and ducks with more room for a couple of more unfortunate animals that we intend to provide love and compassion for. We provide continuous veterinary care; it is expensive and we use a majority of the rescues money to cover all of the medical expense's & post care. As part of the advocacy program that we offer to the community; in efforts to prevent pet dumping and to keep families together, we try to provide as many free resources as possible, we offer up to 10lbs. of dry cat or dog food per animal for every participant, free vaccinations with a voucher for the rabies shot administered by the staff and veterinarians that supports our efforts at the sanctuary. We also offer a voucher for discounted rates on spay and neuters through the same participating veterinarians which also offers low income veterinary care; we hope to be able to receive as many donations as possible to be able to offer free spay and neuter vouchers in efforts to prevent overpopulation and promote responsible pet parenting, also as part of the advocacy program we extend the courtesy to veterans and offer livestock feed or care for those participants that have livestock and just need a little help. Because of limited funds every month, we are trying to establish a relationship with major pet food companies and retail corporations that can offer free food, care, resources and feed so that we may continue to offer participants of the program and low income community members. These resources will help keep pet families together, often times life throws curve balls and times become hard to maintain both pet's and themselves, it's a tough decision to make when there is no shelters or non-profits that can accept any new arrivals; often times pet parents feel that dumping their pet family member might offer them a chance at a new beginning, however it doesn't end up that way, many die of starvation and in the hot summer West Texas heat, die of dehydration, even though it has come to a harsh decision; a bad one, it happens everyday, our organization strives to provide free resources to the community in efforts to prevent such tragedies, every animal deserves a chance at a good life, it's the unconditional love we receive from them that keeps them happy and in turn gives us the joy that we sometimes need after dealing with life's stressful moments. Any donation will be greatly appreciated! Help us prevent pet dumping and help us continue to provide a safe environment at the sanctuary where we can continue to offer free pet resources to Low Income Families, Senior Citizens and Veterans with pets. Help our organization keep pet's and their families together with a Tax Free donation today!
