Today my Daughter Natasha had to share some news with all her friends and family. and i will re-post her words..... On April 30th 2019 I was diagnosed with stage 2 invasive breast cancer. Yesterday I found out that I will undergo 5 months of Chemotherapy followed by a double mastectomy, And whatever else has to be done along the way. I have triple negative cancer so it tends to be a bit more aggressive then some others. About 4 months ago I found a lump while doing just a routine check up that I would do whenever I felt like doing it. I thought “not me” no way. Yesterday I met with a team of oncology doctors that seem to really have my best interest. As long as my body responds to my chemo then everything should follow as planned. If not I will have to take a different route to treatment. Fingers crossed it works in my favor. Please if you can say a prayer before you go to bed tonight for me and my family. I may have to climb a mountain but the end results look to be beautiful. Thank you everyone that has already called, texted, held my hand or just cried with me. It sucks, cancer sucks and it doesn’t discriminate. And I will get through this. I just have to take one day at a time. Just keep me in your thoughts and prayers as I begin my fight. And if you are a young woman check your breast regularly. I never thought I would be 33 years old with beast cancer! So know your body.
Tasha has many friends and family to hold her and love her. We all know how strong of a women she is, I still can see her hold her baby Natalee in her arms as Natalee received chemo at 12 weeks of age due to bi lateral Retinoblastoma. Tasha never asks for much. I decided to start this Go Fund Me so that when the time comes and she doesn't feel up to going to work and carrying a tray around with a big smile to make tips as a server, she can spend the day at home with her kids and know her rent is paid for a month or more.. THANK you to all who have reached out to Tasha. I know this makes her feel so much stronger knowing just how many people love and care for her.
