Help Pay For Carmel's Brain Surgery

Hello friends, family, and anyone else this may reach,

My name is Jacqueline Calle and I have recently recieved the news that one of my dearest friends, Carmel Young has been diagnosed just last week with a brain tumor measuring 28x22x25mm in size that is life threatning if not removed. She is scheduled to have surgery NEXT Tuesday on April 21, 2015.

Two years ago, Carmel was dancing under the world reknown dance company, Dance Theater of Harlem in New York City. Carmel has been dancing for fourteen years and had to stop and move to Anchorage, Alaska to be with her family in order to care for her mother who was suffering from cancer. 

Just last year, Carmel lost her mother to cancer. You can only imagine what this may feel like for a nineteen year old girl. Today, Carmel is still in Alaska as a full time student.

The reason I am writing to you all today, is in high hopes to be able to help out this extraordinary young woman and her beautiful family. The cost of this surgery alone totals $27,000. This does not include other hospital fees, hospital stays, or treatments before and after the surgery.  This is an immense burden to Carmel's family, and her four sisters who live on the opposite side of the country and want nothing more than to be with their younger sister during this incredibly difficult time.To bring them together and to be able to cover any costs of traveling or surgery would be the ULTIMATE gift for Carmel and her loved ones. In order for Carmel to continue her lifes beautiful journey, she needs your help. To me, Carmel is one of the most strongest and inspiring young woman I have ever had the pleasure to call my dear friend, and she surpasses the maturity level of any twenty year old you could possibly imagine. 

This summer, Carmel has been accepted to study at the prestigous American Dance Festival at Duke University. Unforunately, because of this news she recieved just last week, this will not be possible. Let's give Carmel the largest gift of all by helping her pay for this surgery to continue her lifes passions.
