Lava Is Destroying Our Farm

Donation protected
Aloha,

When the eruption began it was not far from our home and we were content that we would be 'okay' and safe.  A week later we evacuated in fear of being inundated by toxic gasses.

Then everything changed in a moments notice.

The lava had opened up two large fissures,  number 20 is right next to our house.  The lava has not destroyed the house but there is a good chance we may never be able to live there again;  only time will tell.

We had 6 sheep,  7 goats,  3 cows,  and 40 chickens,  including the famous rusty the lava rooster,  most have been evacuated by SPCA,  I am thankful but fear we may never see or get them back.  All of our 200 plus fruit trees are dieing or at least are in distress from the sulfuric acid rain.  Our organic garden is dead,  grass and most vegetation in general area affected adversely.  We are camping on a beach in a tent,  over two weeks now with our four dogs,  Lucy,  Dingo,  Tipper,  and Roxy.  We are all tired and not very happy because we don't know what the future holds for us.

What do we need,  we need mostly for our lives to get back to normal.  A home,  we would like to get all our beloved animals back together.  To estimate how much we need,  we would be happy for a simple home. Unfortunately we had spent much of our savings on our land and worked to plant our orchard,  grow our own food and live off the land,  and were in the process of growing a herd of goats to make cheese and yogurt.

Aloha again
