HELP RIVAS NICARAGUA ANIMALS is Vicki Skinner's so far single-handed efforts to help feed & give water, medicine (#1 - monthly parasite & flea/tick treatment to street dogs & flea/tick treatment to anyone's dog that needs it [heart worm & ehrlichia are also BIG problems here]), vaccinations (rare for people to give their pets vaccinations), medical treatment/care (especially TVT which is a horrifically painful & highly contagious & life threatening cancer of the vagina & penis that's a BIG problem in Rivas/Central America & treatment is often a 4 week chemotherapy process which is hard to do with street dogs with no home but I've fostered a few going through it), blood draws, *spayed/neutered* (really RARE here), natural calming medicine when there are fireworks (sadly fireworks & those bomb firework things are BIG here) &/or bad thunderstorms, education (HUGELY needed) & love to the many street animals & fur babies of people that can't afford care.
I even moved to a place where they allow me to have a dog sleep in my room so I could take care of those street dogs that have had to get surgery &/or chemotherapy
I also won't hesitate to help putting down animals that have no chance/hope &/or are suffering a LOT
My intention is to eventually help find homes or at least Foster Homes for the street dogs (sadly the "foster" concept isn't well known here).

***UPCOMING SPAY & NEUTERING CLINIC•FAIR***:
Speaking of spaying & neutering, I'm fundraising to do a clinic & ultimately an educational fair also with the goal of helping at least 100 dogs & cats along with vaccination (offering at least 2-4 sets as very few animals have even been to a vet let alone had vaccinations, etc.), blood draws (so they can get a good idea on what's going on in the town), LOTS of education & I'm hoping to make it a fair featuring people selling products & services geared towards dogs & cats! The goal is to do it in August but it will all depend on money raised.
This is going to cost a few thousand dollars which I of course can't afford to do myself so can you help???!!!
(Note I won't take money from locals as Nicaragua is literally THE poorest nation ON the continent of the America's - BUT - if you're from here & have family/friends in the U.S./living outside of Nicaragua & you want to help - PLEASE "Share" this on your facebook page & with any doggie lovin' friends/groups)
