Please Help Snoopy Beat Cancer!

Donation protected
Yesterday started off as any normal day "“ go to work, go to the gym, take the pup for a long overdue checkup.

Snoopy is a 5 year old, full bred All American Pit Bull Terrier, and the sweetest baby you'll ever meet. He even has a perfectly shaped heart patch on his side to prove it.

I had noticed some small black, red and deep purple spots on his belly. At first they didn't concern me too much, but as the sun got hotter, the bumps grew bigger and blacker.

Like any normal Arizona kid, he loooovesss to sun bathe. I've heard with white fur dogs, it's a good idea to just put a little sun screen on them before they go outside. The overprotective momma that I am, of course I get him 100SPF Neutrogena, a better and more expensive brand that I would ever use on myself!

Snoopy was diagnosed with Squamous Cell Carcinoma (Skin Cancer). Although squamous cell cancers do not spread to surrounding lymph nodes, they are aggressive and may lead to destruction of much of the tissue around the tumor. Hearing the word cancer completely made me numb. "He acts totally fine, eats normal and seems healthy. He plays with his brother Jack (German Sheppard / Pit Mix), he's not sick.. what do you mean he has cancer?" The doctor informed me that good news is that they are small enough to where we can prevent them from spreading to his organs, which would eventually make him ill. She suggested a one day surgical procedure to remove the lumps and send in for a biopsy.

Anyone who knows me personally knows how much love I have for my boys. They are my babies, they are my family. Two years ago on Christmas we lost his big brother Cubby, a 7 year old Queensland Healer in a very traumatic event. Cubby had gotten out of the back gate and wasn't able to find his way home. A cop had found him, and without knowledge or proper training, attempted to use a pole snare to catch him. Unable to do so, she called for "backup" leading to another untrained cop to assist her with an additional pole snare in which they placed both over his neck and he eventually chocked himself to death. I have never felt so much pain and sadness as I did that day.

I was not able to prevent that event: Knowing that getting this treatment for Snoopy will prevent him from getting ill, I will do anything to protect my baby.

So if you're able to give up that Vinti Iced Coffee for the day, Snoopy, Jack and I would really appreciate the help. If you can't, we understand, spreading the word and sharing the link would be greatly appreciated too :) <3 <3 <3 ~ A
