My name is Katie Hutchinson and I am running for School Board for Greater Clark County Schools in 2016. I am a dedicated educator who is passionate about learning with students. I spent 9 years in the classroom and 4 years teaching teachers in Greater Clark County Schools. I grew up in GCCS and have family in the schools now. As a school board member, I want to empower teachers, involve families and build a better community.
Running for school board requires funding, so I am asking for your help! With the integration of technology, education is not about providing information; it's about providing opportunties and encouraging students, teachers and parents when they need it most.
Because GCCS is my home and because my nieces and nephews will grow up here, too, it is important to me that GCCS teachers get the best support, the best opportunities and the best school board. I want GCCS to be a place where students thrive, not just succeed. I appreciate all the support from my friends, families and former coworkers I have already recieved. Thank you, too!
