Winnipesaukee Ice-Out Aerial Photos
Donation protected
"Ice-out" is actually the moment when the M/S Mount Washington could cruise to all five of it's ports: Alton Bay, Center Harbor, Weirs Beach, Meredith and Wolfeboro. For decades, the official moment of Ice-out has traditionally been determined by Dave Emerson (of Emerson Aviation) and his father Alan before him.
Partnering with Emerson Aviation we were able to get airborne several times last year as the ice melted, resulting in a series of progressive photos that we shared for free on our Ice-Out website. Public response was overwhelming, with almost 250,000 page views in a short 16 day period!
This year we hope to fly more often, and provide the community with more images as the ice recedes. Both Dave and I donate our time and talents., but your donation will reduce our expenses for aircraft, insurance, web site, etc.. We'll be able to fly more often, provide more photos of more areas. Please help us reach our goal!
Thank you,
