I, Gideon Crawley, suffer from chronic pain due to a degenerative disk disease in my cervical spine as well as an untreated ac separation in my right shoulder. I've become addicted to the painkillers and am now on a ridiculous, unacceptable amount of medication that would kill an average person; I take 120 mgs of methadone daily and 150 mcg of fentanyl in a patch every 72 hrs. The reason my body can withstand this high dosage of medication is because I used to be a heroin addict in a former life and so I developed a very high tolerance to opiate medication. I worked very hard to get clean, and then to get clean off of methadone, only to fall into this trap.
At the back of my mind I knew better but the pain in my neck and head is overwhelming and debilitating. I'm going to have to find other, natural ways to deal with the pain once I come off of the drugs but it's essential that I do. I exist in a fog. I fall asleep and miss my subway stop constantly. I have no love/sex life to speak of.. I could go on but I'm sure you get the picture.
If you've never heard of Ibogaine, please look it up. It's an African plant medicine, with the almost miraculous property of interrupting addiction in it's tracks - most significantly opiate addiction - without withdrawal symptoms! It also regenerates the receptors and natural brain chemistry to pre-addiction levels!! It normally takes years for the brain to start producing its own natural endorphins again.
The gentlemen who run the facility, Ibogalife, in Costa Rica, are interested in helping me because of the severity of my situation as well as the fact that I'm not your average 'street junkie' who is more likely to get back to the city and continue using. They believe in me. They've offered to cut their cost in half for me and only charge me $3000. They're even going to pay for my airfare.
Unfortunately, I don't have $3000. I'm a struggling musician. I perform in the subway if I have to to pay my rent because I'm not able to work. Therefore, I'm asking for your help. Can you help me rid myself of these chains, please? Help me lift this fog and live a vital, powerful life? I certainly would be grateful.
