Cooking for Standing Rock 

I will be making my stand by cooking for Standing Rock. After hosting food shows for years with Travel Channel and my lifelong love of cooking, I have seen how food can lift someone's spirits and bring people together. I will head to Standing Rock to cook warm hearty meals for anyone that needs one. Helping everyone have the strength to continue on. I plan to head as soon as possible, so please act now. My starting goal is 500 meals (we want to go way over that). I will be setting up a small kitchen and will keep the burners going for anyone that wants a meal.  I am asking for your help to be able to get a RV with a Kitchen or U-Haul for several days, burners, food containers, utensils, propane tanks, pans, and as much food as I can cook. I will also being getting sleeping bags, firewood, tents, generators, gasoline,  and anything else needed once I am out there.   My duration depends on everyone's donations.  The more I raise, the more people I can feed.  In a time where our country is divided, lets do something together! 

I have watched these brave souls stand their ground at Standing Rock over the last couple months. I am amazed by the horrific ways they are being treated for standing up for the right to their own land, protecting a river that supplies water to 14 million people, and our environment as humans.  We have seen the destruction oil rigs, tanker spills, and pipelines have done to our earth.  It is only a matter of time when something goes wrong with this one, which will flow 500 million barrels of crude oil a day through sacred land and under the Missouri River.
