John Crane Houston Area Employees
Spende geschützt
Many of you may have already donated to this cause and we thank you for that. However, because SO many people have been affected by this disaster we want to make sure that the funds we raise here will go directly to OUR coworkers in the Houston area.
In response, John Crane immediately implemented leave allowances, and provided basic provisions - such as safety glasses and work gloves - for employees to use as they sift through the water damage. The company also provided direct financial compensation to help cover the short-term expenses our employees are experiencing.
Based on the many inquiries about how John Crane employees can personally help our affected colleagues affected by Hurricane Harvery, Colin Ure and Steve Husky have created an easy way for you to contribute voluntarily to a relief fund. This employee-driven effort means that he will collect and disperse donations equally to all XX# families through a GoFundMe campaign.
Members of our HR community have volunteered to help Steve Husky to ensure full transparency that all funds raised are distributed evenly among the XX# affected John Crane families.
The team has set a target of $25,000, with a stretch goal of $50,000. Regardless of the total reached by September 9, 2016, any money donated will be distributed evenly to our XX# colleagues in south Texas.
Every donation helps! The minimum amount is $5.00, so please don't think that your donation is too small to impact. Many small contributions will combine to help the families.
As you can imagine – just a few feet of water flooding a one-story home wreaks havoc not only on the building structure, but ruins furniture, kitchen cabinets and appliances, rugs, clothing, electronics, and cars.
To be clear, the GoFundMe project is a grassroots effort by employees to raise additional money for the families. Other than communicating about, contributing to, and applauding the effort that Colin Ure and the team are coordinating, John Crane is not managing this GoFundMe project. Colin will be withdrawing the funds personally, and then distributing the funds to the employees outside of GoFundMe.
If you choose to donate, it is your decision and entirely voluntary.
Please keep these families in your thoughts as they work through the process to rebuild their lives.
