Open Hands Ministry, James Coffey

Donation protected
Services: Dec 19th at 1pm
Mountain Valley Chapel, Gold Bar (3rd & Lewis)

Pastor Jim Coffey had a major stroke with continious strokes & seizures since the Thanksgiving Holiday. He is currently hospitalized at Evergreen Health hospital in Kirkland, Wa..
His recovery is not expected and as of today has been removed from all life and living support and by this evening will be received in Open Hands and Loving arms by Our Father God.

Pastor Jim and his wife Susan and their "Open Hands Ministry" has served selflessly the Sky Valley Community for years. They've been reaching out specifically to the homeless and countless others as well as many working poor families with an overwhelming need for food, clothing, household items etc. They have been also sharing the Gospel to all Gods children with out prejudice or discrimination. Just doing it the way Jesus did going into places that other's will dare not. Sometimes only relying and using Pastor Jim's limited retirement to provide Goodwill and show LOVE to everyone.  All for our LORD and Saviour Jesus Christ.

This man has given selflessly from his heart doing GODS WILL, serving in our Armed Forces & defending this great nation; and countless other things because he was a man filled with the Holy Spirit and a good loving soul.  He always brought comfort to those who needed it even when He himself was not well. He undoubtedly touched many of us, leading lost souls to the LORD'S Salvation all with Love and Gratitude and never complaing or critizing or judging anyone.
Now his wife Susan, has been left with a lot of overwhelming things to deal with. The couple did not have life burial/insurance. Some hospital bills will not be covered by Medicare.
The  limited income Jim and Susan had, mostly went to what was dear to their heart which was helping those who have been forgotten by society, oppressed, afflicted, sick, hungry, poor.
His loving wife and family is in need of our help right now.
Please, please share Pastor Jim's story, please share your heart and spread the LOVE that this Man of God has demonstrated & has given to so many by supporting and contributing to his hospital bills and final burial expenses and whatever needs his widow Susan may need.

Thank-you and may God comfort his wife Susan and family, friends and all the souls this man's genourisity and heart touched and helped selflessly!

God bless all....AMEN.
JAMES THOMAS COFFEE
My life with this wonderful man was created by God on the 9th of September, 2010. God gave us a ministry to begin the second we were united. “Open Hands Ministry” was born also, Deuteronomy 15:11 says, “There will always be poor people in the land. Therefore I command you to be openhanded toward your brothers and toward the poor and needy in your land.” God has blessed our ministry with Jim and I feeding, clothing and ministering to 250 a week in the upper Skykomish area including Index, Gold Bar, Start Up and Sultan.
Jim was a very gentle caring man with God as the center of his life and direction. Jim lived a very humble life these last 5 ½ years that were devoted totally to our ministry. He loved feeding and ministering to HIS people. He felt very close to all of them.
On December 2nd God decided to take Jim home. He had a stroke and multiple seizures and 1 week later was gone. He has joined his father Thomas A. Coffey, brother-in-law Randy and grandson Noah.
Delmer Westerfield’s mantle of fighting the devil, healing the sick and eating cookies was passed down to Jim. Thru Jim many lives and situations were changed, in Jesus’ name. So for the last 5 ½ years Jim’s passion was based on fighting the devil praying and enjoying cookies!!!
Jim’s immediate family consist of: his sister Becky Garvie, nephew Ryan & Bri Garvie. Daughter, Becky & Brien Denison, grandkids, Ivan and Gary. Son, Matthew & April Shipley, grandkids, Madilyn, Ashten and Easton. Daughter, Angela & Johnny Campos, granddogs, Gracie, Gus and Kona.
We will all see you again. You were loved by many
If you would like to donate there is a “Go FundMe” account in his name.
Services will be December 19th at 1pm. Mountain Valley Chapel, corner of 3rd and Lewis in Gold Bar. Snacks afterwards.
