Javier Aguirre's EAGLE Project
I am a 15 year old boy that it seeking the rank of Eagle Scout in the Boy Scout program. Only 1% of Boy Scouts earn the rank of eagle.
For my Boy Scouts of America Eagle Project, I have decided to build a Reading Gazebo at Temple Heights Elementary School. By creating a Reading Gazebo students would have an opportunity to read outside the classroom walls and strengthen the habit of independent reading. It would be located in front of the library in close vicinity to the 5th grade classrooms so teachers would be able to supervise the children.
I have the privilege of having a Mentor on my team who is a Harvard Graduate, a Professor at a local College and a Certified Architect. He is helping to ensure that this project meets the building codes and is functional in meeting the needs of the school.
With your help, I can purchase the materials needed for this project. Any money left over would be donated to the school library.
