Jordan's heart medical expenses
Donation protected
As an infant, Jordan was diagnosed with congenital heart disease. She spent most of her young life in and out of the hospital. She suffered seizures, a stroke, and abdomen and brain bleeds.
At 18 months old, Jordan received the lifesaving gift of a new heart from a baby boy named Lukas, and the day that she and her mother, Esther, met the donor mother became an instant viral story.
Since her transplant, Jordan has lived an incredible, and overall healthy life. She has thrived to become a tenacious and strong, yet friendly and kind little girl.
On Feb. 22, Esther took Jordan to Phoenix Children's Hospital for a stomach ache. Doctors quickly noticed that her heart was not functioning correctly, and she was admitted to the hospital. Today, Jordan is again fighting for her life. Her body is rejecting Lukas' heart, and she has been intubated at Phoenix Children's Hospital.
To top it all off, Esther's mother, sister, and brother-in-law were hit by a drunk driver while leaving the hospital Friday night. While all three are doing okay, they remain hospitalized, taking Esther's most important support system away from her when she most needs it.
Jordan's hospital bills are mounting, and we'd like to help Esther take care of finances so that she can fully focus on Jordan's health. You can follow Jordan's journey on her Jordan's Heart Facebook page. Please donate what you can for this incredible little girl.
