Donation protected
7/20/18 - Hello Loved Family & Friends of Kourtney. While Kourtney has been recovering from the amputation of her arm and is no longer enduring the intense pain she did for so long, she recently received discouraging news from her last scans and x-rays. In light of this, family & friends are expediting the FunRaiser to have it on July 28th from 11:00 AM - 2:00 PM at The American Legion Post 447, 1000 N. Georgetown St. Round Rock, Tx 78664. There will be food, drinks, on-site raffle, silent auction & Music and most important, your chance to see our sweet Kourtney Brown!

For any questions about the FunRaiser, please contact:
Kathy Wilson: [phone redacted]
Randy Brown: [phone redacted]

Also note, if you receive any requests for donations from Caring Bridge, those requests are for THAT SITE and NOT Kourtney. I made the mistake of giving to that site myself, however, they too are a good cause so no harm but, I know anything you can or do give, you'd want to go to Kourtney so I wanted to point that out.

Many Many Thanks to those that have donated monetarily, your time, your well wishes and your love.

--------------------------------------------------------------------
This is a story about a Beautiful woman (in all ways), single mother of a 12 year old daughter, who has stage 4 metastic breast cancer.

June 8th, Kourtney found out from a PET scan the cancer that she thought she beat has spread to lymph node by collarbone, arm pit, middle chest by right breast & the worst near her aorta-anterior mediastinal.  This particular one was discovered 2 weeks ago during resonstructive breast surgery. The surgeon could only do the one side w/out the tumor then immediately had Kourtney's family schedule the PET scan and a multitude of other appointments.

But lets' start from the beginning..............as written by Kourtneys best friend:

In November of 2015, my best friend of over 30 years was diagnosed with an aggressive Stage III breast cancer. Days before her 39th birthday she started 3 rough months of  very strong chemo followed by 30 radiation treatments and then a double mastectomy. Last month, just over a year later, as she was in the middle of her reconstruction surgery, the surgeon detected something suspicious and stopped surgery after being 2/3 of the way through. After biopsy and scans it was determined that the cancer is back in the same area. So as she is still recovering from the reconstruction surgery that couldn't be totally completed, she is now starting this battle all over again and preparing to start another 6 months of chemo followed by more radiation. She is a single mom of a 12-year old daughter and off of work indefinitely. Thankfully she has the support of her job and her parents but could really use help toward medical expenses and every day living expenses after now two extensive surgeries and expensive tests and scans and everything else she has already incurred and will be adding in the next year at least.

I truly do not enjoy asking others for help (and Kourtney would never), especially money.  However, in this case, I would like to ask all who have the priviledge of knowing Kourtney or her family (who are not wealthy by any means and are doing all they can to help) and those that are my friends who don't know her but have the ability to give just a little, to trust that Kourtney deserves some help and to please give what you can afford, ANY amount will help.

Hopefully the pictures you see here will show you the human side of Kourtney and how she and her family are just like you and I.
