Central Kansas Concert Opera is a brand new opera company dedicated to enriching the arts culture of Central Kansas and providing professional experience to young musicians.
CKCO was formed by enterprising graduates and students (vocal and instrumental) from Wichita State University who saw a need for more opportunities for young musicians. The employment outlook for many musicians can be bleak—there are few jobs and many qualified applicants.
In September 2016, CKCO will mount its first production: a concert of some of the most beloved works from the operatic and choral repertoire.
But we need YOUR help--this production cannot happen without the support of arts lovers like you!
All funds received will go directly to producing the concert: hiring and compensating our orchestral personnel, rehearsal pianists and directors, minimal prop expenses, and promotional materials.
