Kane's Assault Recovery Fund

On Sunday July 12th, comedian Kane Holloway was assaulted while playing a baseball game in Pasadena, California. A disgruntled member of the opposing team attacked Kane, knocked him unconscious, and broke Kane's jaw on both sides of his face. Cops were called immediately and the attacker fled the field. Kane has been in and out of the emergency room for the past three days, and has now had to go into surgery to have his jaw wired shut for at least 4-6 weeks. The doctor said that if Kane had been hit a couple inches higher, he would have gone blind in his left eye, and if he had been hit a couple inches above that near his temple, he would have been killed. We are so grateful that Kane is still with us, and so sad that such a horrific thing happened to such a kind, amazing person.
With Kane's jaw wired shut, he has to cancel his upcoming comedy work for the following two months, and has to take time off of driving for Uber and Lyft, which is his main source of income. Kane and I have been together for 3 1/2 years, and we moved down to Los Angeles together in January to continue pursuing our comedy dreams. We couldn't have imagined that something as terrible as this would happen, and as a couple of young adults trying to make it in the entertainment business, I'm sure you can guess that we don't wake up and dive into a pool of gold coins like Scrooge McDuck. We're waiting to hear a cost estimation of the three visits to the emergency room, the surgery to wire his jaw shut, the x-rays, the tests, the medication...but we know it's going to be a number that we're not able to handle on our own. The police are working to figure out the situation with the attacker and whether or not there will be any compensation from him. We've felt such a tremendous outpouring of love from friends and family in this hard time, and are so so grateful for any help you're able to give us. Even if you're not in a position to help financially, please know that all of your amazing texts, calls, comments and posts are so appreciated and bring a smile to Kane's face (although it's followed by shouted explitives because it hurts to smile.) Thank you for all of your support! We love you!
