With the faith of a mustard seed, you can move mountains...
Matthew 17:20

Hello Family and Friends,

My name is V'Keyah Singleton. I am a proud Senior Nursing student at Columbus State University. I will be graduating May 2018 with my Bachelors of Science in Nursing Degree (and couldn't be more ecstatic). My plans are to work as a Neonatal Intensive Care Nurse and attend Emory University to further my education to become a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner and Postsecondary educator.  I am involved in several organizations on the campus of Columbus State University. I currently serve as Basileus of the Kappa Chi Alpha Beta chapter of Chi Eta Phi Nursing Sorority, Student Ambassador for Team 58 of CSU serving as the face of Columbus State University and Office of Student Recruitment, member of Collegiate Women of Columbus State University and Community Outreach. I also serve as a Damascus Way volunteer in which I help with the daily operations of the facility, spend time with the children and help the women to overcome their battles and learn valuable life skills so that they may become better for themselves and others.  Being blessed with a servants heart has granted me the many opportunities to give my time back to the community that has helped shape me into the woman I am today.

I have decided to step out on faith and make this fundraising page in hopes of being able to pursue my dreams of finally traveling abroad. The School of Nursing will be traveling to Waterford and Dublin, Ireland for Spring Break of 2018. This trip is designed for us to experience the differences in healthcare within the urban and rural areas of Ireland while also understanding its significant impact of nursing internationally.

The trip is 10 days, March 16- March 25, and is a part of a course that I will be taking in the Spring of 2018 enitled -- CSU in Ireland: Comperative Healthcare and Nurse Education. The required fees are what have been set by Columbus State University. With the first payment being due Oct. 27th, The University graciously allowed me to have the entire balance paid in full by Dec. 5th, 2017. The fees include:  roundtrip airfare, hotel fees, in-country transportation related to course accommodations, insurance, meals, and additional out of pocket expenses. Tuition fees for the course are not included.

I am working very hard to raise funds for this trip and will be helping to pay for a portion of the trip myself. As you know, I am still a student and raising funds of this magnitude for my Study Abroad experience is a challenge -- which I embrace wholeheartedly but with which I could use a little assistance. Therefore, I am looking for donors, such as you, to sponsor a portion of my experience.

My purpose on this Earth is to be a vessel and care for those who are in need. Nursing is not just taking care of a patients physical, it also includes their emotional, spiritual and mental well being. This is not a career for me...this is my passion! I know that if I can change a life, I have made a difference! I am so eager to begin this new chapter in my life and looking forward to what God has in store for me! She believed she could so she did!

No donation is too big or too small. I'm grateful for any blessing that you give.  Please feel free to share and support! Thank you all in advance for your donations, prayers and well wishes! God Bless!

With love,

V'Keyah
