Support for Leah's Family
Our sweet Leah was diagnosed with a very rare blood disease in September of 2013. She has severe congenital neutropenia. After surviving septic shock and a 28 day hospital stay we got to bring her home. 6 months later ( and 9 visits to the ER for fever) she underwent a bone marrow transplant on February 7, 2014. She was 13 months old. Almost 2 years post transplant it has been determined she will need a 2nd transplant early next year. I (her mother) will need to take around 4 to 5 months off of work to be with her. All of that time she will be in Oakland and I will be with her 6 out of the 7 days so clearly I wont be able to work. Our goal is to raise what I would have made so that our family is not impacted financially and we can focus on every member of our clan. Leah has a 6 year old brother, Elijah and a 4 year old sister, Natasha. We appreciate how much support we had the first go around as we do this time. Thank you for every prayer, well wish and donation.
