My name is Michael. I'm a Sophomore at BC High School. My physics teacher and I have put together a donation page in the hope to build L.E.O. In his words:

My classes put together a club, the 3D Fabrication Society, to create prosthetic limbs. Michael is the vice president of the 3D Fabrication Society at our school. So far the Society has worked with eNable to ship 3D printed prosthetic hands to Haiti's Prosthetics of Hope Lab and has been helping the children of Haiti by manufacturing no cost prosthetic limbs. Michael leads a group of talented students who wish to take their 3D fabrication to the next level with robotics. He has put together a project that will combine the fabrication we have done for eNable and take it to the next level. James Bruton has created a series of youtube videos outlining how to create a walking humanoid android. Michael and his team hope to follow these steps for creating the android and learning about active stabilization of limbs.
As the student lead team builds L.E.O. they are going to work with coding, dynamic stability, AI (artificial intelligence), construction, physics, and much more! Furthermore, for some of our younger team members, this will be a big learning experience with multiple coding languages.

The hope is that once the students have learned about these robotics concepts they will be able to combine their knowledge from previous donation Projects in prosthetic limb creation to create better prosthetic limbs to donate through e-Nable, a donation program of using 3D printers to provide children with no cost prosthetic limbs.

In My Own Words:
When I first saw James Bruton's Robot X I was excited to see what actively stabilized robot limbs could do! I put together a team of my fellow students from the 3D Fabrication Society at our school to create this GoFundMe Project in the hope of creating our own stabilized robot so we can apply the knowledge we get to future projects with our prosthetic limbs. We've named our robot Launch in Electronic Operations or L.E.O for short. L.E.O. will help us to better understand robotics and other robotic-related subjects. With L.E.O. we will be able to learn all kinds of things about 3D printing, physics, and construction. Along with that, if this robot is a success, L.E.O. will travel to other schools teaching them about the possibilities of machines in our daily lives and provide a springboard for new prosthetic limbs we will create.
This project is entirely student lead. Mr. Wilkinson will be there to help us with any big problems that we may have, but other than that, L.E.O. is going to be built entirely by high school students. Michael is going to be our group leader and will make sure everything goes smoothly during the building process.
In our school and even our school district, L.E.O. is going to be a big help in showing other people the possibilities of robotics in our modern world.

There are many problems that we will have to solve while building L.E.O. One of which is his dynamic stability. Dynamic stability when a robot knows if it's walking in a stabilized manner, and knows how to adjust itself to stay on its feet the whole time.

My Previous Projects:
    - My Rubik's Cube Solving Robot
    - My "Digital" Door(My bedroom door opens by itself)
    - Click here to see my Iron Man Helmet
    - E-nable Prothstetic limbs

(This is Nono, from, "Prosthetics of Hope," in Haiti. Those things in his hands are prosthetic limbs made for 2 specific children. Your donation will help many children all over the world who don't have some/any of their fingers, be able to get real, hands-on, experiences)

(This is my Rubik's Cube Solver. I designed, built, and programmed it myself)

Just in case you're wondering, "Why does this kid need so much money!?"
