Lindsey’s Story:



We are kindly asking for your support for our dear friends, Jacob and Lindsey Spivey.  Lindsey is currently in St. Micheal’s in the ICU unit.  After years of them waiting for their first child, Lindsey gave birth to a beautiful Baby Henry, who was born on August 9, 2016. After they spent 4 days in the hospital and an emergency caesarian, they were finally able to take them home to start their new lives as a family. Their stay at home was short lived and Lindsey was rushed back to the emergency room last Monday with severe head pain. Doctors rushed her back and she was in surgery within the hour. Lindsey had a brain bleed with a 8 cm clot which required surgery to remove it. She continued to bleed in her brain after the 1st surgery so doctors were forced to perform another surgery. She basically had a stroke 6 days after giving birth to her son that they had struggled for years to have. She is still in ICU and will face extensive neuro-rehab to regain the loss of her left side. Travel may be needed to get rehabilitation for her recovery. Jacob is struggling to take care of a new baby, sick wife, and extensive medical bills while not leaving his wife’s side. He is still not able to leave her to work.  Lindsey is currently a RN employed at Dubuis in Texarkana and Jacob is employed by M2 Services at RRAD.
