Born and raised in Michigan, Chef Errik, grew up loving the culture and lifestyle that comes with being a Michigander. Originally from the Flint area, moved to Marquette for college and then finally ended up in Las Vegas Nevada studying culinary arts under some incredibly talented Chefs and Restaurant Owners. After a few years learning the trade and then moving on to manage and run restaurants, the longing for home couldn't be kept quiet any longer and that's when Chef Errik moved back to Michigan's newly named Foodie town, Traverse City. Starting at the Manitou Passage Golf course as the Executive Chef, then heading to run the Banquets and Catering Department at The Homestead Resort. Chef Errik has continued to follow his love of food and all aspects of the agriculture behind food, in every avenue of life. Recently, unhappy with the corporate structure of resorts and with a high interest in being self employed, Chef Errik has decided on a new adventure, purchasing an already existing local store and help to continue to support the community and people who reside. Lone Pine Party Store has been an Honor staple since Chef Errik began vacationing on the Plattes as a young boy. The idea to transform the already wonderful location into an all things "Pure Michigan" and "Local Love" policy only seemed like a natural upgrade. To showcase products from around our great villages, towns and cities, would bring a much needed awareness to all visitors and guest of how wonderful Michigan made products are.
