Hey y’all!
A little bit about me...
My name is Isabella Marie, but I go by Isa for short! I’m a southern gal, the oldest of 5 kids, and a graphic design major, I absolutely love photography, music, and art, but most of all, I love children. I’m currently taking a break off school to find what God has planned out for my life. In this time of waiting, working, and praying, I stumbled upon the opportunity to apply for a program called Youth With A Mission (YWAM for short), based out of their Madison, Wisconsin location. (CRAZY for a southern gal like me!!) This program is a 5 month long program that includes 3 months of discipleship training school (DTS) and 2 months of outreach. At this specific location, and elective that I applied for, the outreach is the one closest and dearest to my heart. Children. The Children at Risk Elective focuses on the needs of children around the world and the issues that put those children at risk, such as sex trafficking, poverty, AIDS, abuse, child soldiers, and broken families. However, the main goal is to show these children the love and hope of the Father, our God, who is the father to the fatherless. Past teams have gone to India, Thailand, Myanmar, Kenya, and where my dream is to go, Uganda! Sounds pretty awesome right? Even more awesome that I got accepted!! The only catch is that it’s $4000 for DTS, and up to an additional $5000 on top of that for the outreach costs. Because the program is not considered to be an official university, they are unable to accept any sort of FAFSA or Scholarships, which is what brought me here! I work full time and will continue to work and save to contribute as much as possible to be able to go on this missions. However, I can not do it alone. I trust that God is guiding me in this direction, and I trust that he will provide all of the funds necessary to send me on this wonderful journey. So please, help me serve God and love people the way Jesus does! Any amount helps!
