Maddox's End of Life Vet Care Fund

Donation protected
My friend Stephanie is one of the most generous, big hearted people I know. She goes out of her way to help others, even strangers, as much as she possibly can. And I think it's time that others got to help her back. Early this month, she and her family were delt a horrible blow with the sudden and terrible loss of their beloved dog, Maddox. The vet did try to save him, but didn't make it. Now Stephanie and her family are left with a massive vet bill and no Maddox. Let's all come together to help Stephanie and her family pay off Maddox's bill so they can have complete closure.

You can read Stephanie's story of Maddox below.

"Maddox came into my life when he was 8 weeks old. We were a perfect fit for each other. He added so much to my life. And then when I met my husband, they became fast friends. Maddox then extended his role of protector over our son.

On May 30th, Maddox started to appear as if he was not feeling well. We kept an eye on him and he slept most of the day. In the late evening of Wednesday the 31st, Keoni (my husband) took him to the emergency animal hospital and they did his blood work and everything was mild according to the vet. They sent us home with some antibotics and said he was sick.

Around 12:30am on June 4th, Keoni woke me saying that Maddox was freaking out. He was having a seizure. Keoni rushed him back to the animal hospital. The doctor there stated that he had liver failure. His numbers were off the charts. Worse than she had ever seen.

We hung on to hope. That he would come home. Maddox had a plasma transfusion. But his blood wasn't clotting anymore. To save the details... he had internal bleeding.

We got to take him on one last walk.

Around 2:30am on June 5th, we transferred Maddox to the ICU. His last car ride. I got to spend his last moments with him. His life was beautiful.

He was family to us. We didn't just care for him like a 'dog'. He was family. We went on about 10,000 walks during his life."

Maddox spent 25 hours in the hospital, and their bills total 3,200 dollars. That's alot, especially when you don't get to come home with your precious pet. Please give anything you can - every bit helps!
