Finishing Mahalo's Gathering Hall
Mahalo is a beautiful place for those loving wellness, wholeness and creativity! People, like you, who attend celebratory and supportive circles here, share a deep reverence for the healing power of nature.
We've enjoyed many sacred circles around outdoor fires. We welcome people from many different religions and have supported countless inner healing journeys over the last decade.
We give thanks, in advance, for a lovely place to share healthy food and family fun, no matter the weather. Presently, there’s no space to do this except the construction site of the gathering hall.
The gathering hall was begun last year to forward the vision of a community center where we can prepare and serve food indoors, and gather in a sheltered space when it’s cold, wet and windy out. The gathering hall will have plumbing facilities and a private retreat space for presenters, artists-in-residence and/or caretakers.
The Mahalo Rose Encantadora temple (on left of image) is a food-free, off-the-grid space that is kept immaculate for meditation, retreats and therapeutic work: healing ceremonies, elder talks, sacred fires, workshops, intensives, transpersonal psychotherapeutic work, expressive arts therapies, leadership trainings, summer camps, sound circles and more. We recently hosted our first wedding!
This gathering hall (to be named by a generous donor) is part of the property called Mahalo, which belongs (temporarily) to its caretaker, Luz Elena Morey. This is separate from Mahalo Art Center, the non-profit, which does not own the land, but hosts programs, healing residencies and retreats on the property.
This property, where the gathering hall is being built, has been consecrated as a sacred sanctuary dedicated to community wellness.
Thank you for your participation and support in all ways. We need and appreciate your help, ideas and prayers.
May all of your most beautiful dreams come true as soon as possible. Please dream big :)
