Marilyn's Celebration of Life

My name is David Menchaca and I am Marilyn's god son. I recently lost the most important person in my life (next to my parents) - Marilyn Clements. This GoFundMe is dedicated to raising funds to help create an extra special Celebration of Life for Marilyn, and to help with unexpected costs that have come up for her family.

On October 4th, Marilyn Clements passed away due to complications with lung cancer. Marilyn was diagnosed at the end of January and fought hard, with such grace and positivity. Marilyn was also battling with pulmonary hypertension for the last 20 years and was true testament of strength and courage. She was a leader in her PH support group and will be missed by many.

Marilyn had a way of letting you know that no matter what was going on, things were going to be okay. Her spirit and words of advice have touched so many people over the years. She was an inspiration and example of happiness for many of us. Marilyn was the calm in the storm for most of our lives. Her memory is forever and her advice timeless.

Marilyn was a source of wisdom, strength, and comfort for my entire life. I was blessed enough to spend this last year as her caregiver; it gave me true purpose. Our bond was strengthen by hardship and love. It was the happiest year of my life and losing her is hardest thing I've every had to deal with. But knowing Marilyn she wouldn't want any one of us crying or feeling bad for her.  She'd want us to celebrate her life and thats what I intend to do. There is a celebaration of life in the works and with a little help from everyone we can make it extra special.  With all that is going on, the family and I are forever thankful for all and any donations.
