Martha's story;
Martha a 46 year old mother of 3 boys was diagnosed with aggresive breast cancer last month, November 2016.

No symptoms, running around like always and keeping the boys on track with their schedule.  Martha trip's and  falls. We took her to the hospital to find that that her x-rays showed her hip was broken. Huh? broken?  it was not a dangerous fall. But, that was not the worst thing, the Doctor wanted to review the x-ray with us to show us the black spots that were everywhere.
Shocked, I was spechless.

Now, we had to tell her not only that she needs hip surgery, but also mention in the same sentence that she needs to see the oncologist stat!
After hip surgery, she was keep in isolation during recovery.  Days later we learned that it's an aggresive breast cancer stage IV., HER2+

The journey ahead will definitely be a challenge as the cancer is "aggressive" which in turn requires an "aggressive" treatment plan.

She will begin with 16 weeks of chemotherapy today December 7th, followed by surgery and possibly another round of chemotherapy and/or radiation. Even with health insurance, the financial responsibility of paying for medical treatment has become overwhelming.

Let's make her world a better place while she gets ready to fight cancer head on!

Our goal is to raise enough money to cover her insurance deductibles and out of pocket expenses for surgery, therapy, and medications for the next year so she can worry about what is most important, her kids.
