Michelle Whipple "Unite the Fight"

Michelle Hohn Whipple is one of the hardest working, caring, and giving people you will meet. She is a mother of two, a grandmother, and a wonderful person. Although I have known her for a short time I know that she is very private  person and does not like to share too much information but she did give me her blessing to continue with this.

I will give you a little history about her. First off cancer does run in her family, and we all know how UGLY it can be. That  is why she is doing everything she can to prevent it with her limited options in this case.
She married young and was blessed with two children a girl and a boy. Delivery was difficult for both and ended up having to have a hysterectomy at the age of 25. At that time they found out she had endenomyosis (rare form of endometriosis)  of the uterus.  They did leave her ovaries in at that time. She lived a normal life, until 2008 when she started having abdonimal pain.  After testing they thought it was an ovarian cystes. In the summer of 2009 abdonimal pain again, they discovered cystes on both overies via ultrasound.  November 2009 she had a papsmear and the results came back, "Your results are abnormal you need to come in right away". She then went in and had a colposcopy done the next day. The results said Grade 1. She started treatment in March 2010. A chemo cream treatment and rotated that with another form of treatment alternating it every two weeks. This was on going for a good 2 1/2 years. While still going in every three months for a papsmear and colposcopy.

In June of 2010 her divorce was final.  And being the personal person she is she was not sharing all of this with anyone. Then in December of 2010 she had to go in and have her ovaries removed. At this time the treatments are not working as well as the doctor was hoping. Finally in 2011 she did open up and talk to her brother, that she had been living with since her separation in March 2009,  about everything that was going on with her health.

So in Feburary of 2013 she was refered to a cancer doctor. When she had her preliminary testing done she went from grade 1 biopsy to a grade 2.5. He told her that all the previous treatment was not aggresive enough and they needed to be more assertive. They gave her one week to decide the treatment route. She decided to take the treatment and hit it hard. So they started the chemo cream again this time three times a week for 16 weeks. She is one of a small hand full to complete the treatment course, it was a tough go and she felt horrible while doing the treatment, but you do what you have to to beat it. She is so thankful for Vicki her own personal cheerleader, motivator, and drill sergeant during those 16 weeks.

All the while she is still going in for papsmears and colposcopy every three months.  After the cream treatment the doctor thought she needed a little more so he did a laser surgery of the vagina in Oct. of 2013. After the surgery the doctor thought Michelle was on the road to a clean bill of health.  With regular visits every three months she thought all was going well
In June/ September 2014 her results showed slight changes in her test results.  December 2014 and March 2015 were her only normal pap tests since 2009, with no infections of any sort.  Since she had two normal paps she was able to go back to her gynocologist for a six month visit! At the six month check she was told if all came back normal she could have just yearly check ups, finally the good news she had been waiting for!
Michelle went to the doctor on October 6, 2015 and recieved a phone call on October 16 with the results. The nurse said "I hate to make this call, I feel bad for you but the results are very abnormal." Michelle said "You are not suppose to tell me that" and started to cry.  She will go in on November 16 to see what Grade she is at. Until then she is to start treatments for four weeks until the November appointment.
With all of this going on she still has a smile on her face, she is a wonderful mom, and a loving grandma. Working all the hours that she can. She is still struggling to get caught up with the medical bills. I was hoping to do something that would make a difference for her and after much thought decided to go this route.

You may be wondering why only $1. We are not sure how much it is going to cost to beat this but appericated anything you can give. If you can help out Michelle Hohn Whipple to ease the burden and make a difference in her life, we THANK YOU very much in advance. Every little bit helps!
