Miss Black Rhode Island 2013

Greetings everyone,

I am Amber Clark, your 2013 Miss Black Rhode Island USA.  I am beyond honored to represent the state in this capacity and consider it an undoubted blessing.  My platform issue is centered around community advocacy.  More specifically: Educate! Advocate! Elevate! :A Three Pronged Approach to Combatting Health Disparities among Minority Communities.

I am very excited for the upcoming year and am planning awesome programs and activities for the Rhode Island communities.  I will also be making numerous appearances, traveling throughout the state and will represent Rhode Island in the Miss Black USA national pageant in August(Washington, D.C.)

However, I need your help!  As you may have guessed, with this awesome opportunity comes awesome responsibilities as well as  financial obligations.  

With your financial support, I will be able to fund my travel expenses, wardrobe, self-maintenance and national expenses to name a few.
