Self-published Memoir

My memoir, 'Miss Hippie In Mississippi', is a cultural history of the last half of the 20th Century both in California and the Deep South.  The Grateful Dead make many appearances in the memoir but Marcia - Miss Hippie,  introduces us to many more interesting folk who did not share the Dead's celebrity and who, through this story, may not be forgotten.

A short, fun video on the cover art-

I began this biography about a year ago, and sincerely hope readers will find the story as quirky and fun as I do. The parents divorced around 1965 and I went  from Palo Alto, California  to Biloxi, Miss., more than 2,000 miles away, and a world apart. I escaped the south's humidity with summer visits to Pops in California. Brother was already famous and in a different (and very exciting) world entirely. Add to that mix a mother who drank too much, had an outrageous, but always loving, sense of humor, and you have the essence of Miss Hippie In Mississippi, my unique perspective of this zany family.
