My name is Jasen Brown, I'm asking for your help in making my dream come true... to start a restaurant of an established franchise to help save & benefit to our future, families and communities globally.
Why this means so much to me?
I was blessed to have been giving so many good chances and opportunities. Which led to my success today. Now I would like this campaign to be a way that we reach back into society and help someone else to get those same chances and opportunities.. I personally adopted the incredible vision of voices of variety. Coincidentally we both actually share some identical characteristics, Love, Respect, Good Deeds, always thinking of ways to help others and executing such thought.
Our Communities are dieing help VOV create and invest in programs and services that will rebuild and save our world to a better positive place..
I am an aspiring entrepreneur with a vision of funding my nonprofit organization (Voices of Variety) ... which is committed to nurturing the youth in our communities in a very personal way. first priorities are the At Risk". "VOV" wants to replace gun violence with performing arts opportunities. While encouraging all to use the arts as a positive venting mechanism, replacing all negative acts, violence, not attending school etc. This will open up an opportunity to mentor youth and young adults, and breed positive change.

(Doing Good Deeds )
A huge portion of the restaurant profit proceeds will be used to sustain the nonprofit organization Voices Of Variety ("VOV"). "VOV" was organized for the charitable support of spiritual, emotional, educational, and/or scientific purposes to share knowledge, skills and talents. The purpose is to provide an outlet for self expression and an opportunity to learn, interact and be entertained in a positive, progressive environment. We aim to execute good deeds globally, and strive to invoke a healthy long lasting positive change.
I would like to help re–open voices of variety (loving non profit 501-3.C), Free recording studio and rehearsal space that shut down just last year due to lack of funds and support. With this new facility open we can all jam together, make records together, and help one another with no financial barrier of hourly rates. A place that will have some state of the art equipment. And of course alot of industry standards.. "VOV" also plans to use the facility to offer free music & vocal lessons to the youth and young adults. Have movie & video games as a learning and positive venting mechanism. First priorities are the “At risk”. VOV wants to replace Gun violence with performing arts opportunity. Is to have a work study
What is work study this a a room that is super clean , smoke free and quite to allow those to study in peace. Zero tolerance policy no noise… this room is secluded and special world round sound proofing has been installed to insure you wont here a peep. The glass structure is specially designed to detect and canceled out all sound.
The Advantages
The biggest advantage of our soundproofed room, Is it offers peace and quiet. Whether the noise is coming from inside or outside this room, it is always nice to be able to retreat to a quiet place and relax when needed. study in peace. Soundproofed rooms give thinkers privacy, and they allow them to go about their day without worrying about disturbing other people. Our Soundproofed rooms are just invaluable. will help those who dont have a quite place to study and focus.. maybe their envirorment is not positive and not quite.. they are failing in class due to this.. vov would like to help those people... 
How soon I need the funds?

How will money be used?
I also need 175k to purchase a building for "VOV"
The money will be used to purchase a Building, make renovations, Pay utilities, Purchase necessary equipment, create sustainability – so we wont have to rely solely on donations to keep the doors open and free to all! We have plans! Imagine a small for profit franchise purchased for one sole purpose in mind! Total profit income will go back to the vov mission of giving to all those that need "VOV" programs & services.
Remember the 33k will create a sustainability :)
But wont get us the Building overnight.. Didnt want to rent and throw away money on renovating some one else property. (with out ownership) that could happen

The Plan:
A close colleague proprietor of six franchise restaurants (which he built from scratch and developed for more than a decade) shared with me his secret to success in the restaurant business. We explored the details his point-of-sale system, operation costs, and after studying his data, I was inspired to have found a new way to fund "VOV". My successful colleague, along with another established restaurant consultant (with 25+ years' experience), would like to help us establish our chain of successful restaurants, a portion of which will benefit our communities by supporting and nurturing the talent in our youth.
So far, we've submitted hundreds of sponsorship and grant proposals and are refining our approach with every attempt. If you'd like to read the full proposals we've submitted, please request via email and I will provide verbatim copies of our proposals.

According to my restaurant consultants, in addition to my personal financial support, this project will require an additional ~$33,000 to start the business. The funds will be used to purchase restaurant equipment and inventory, two-months security deposit for the facility (which will require customized remodeling) and enough cash to pay employees for two months.

With all the crazy and senseless violence going on. Our communities really need a unique organization like "Voices Of Variety".
A few of the services "VOV " provides include:
- Free studio recording time
- Free rehearsal space
- Free music lessons
Mentorship programs, educational programs, concerts, recitals, music work-shops-work stud, computer labs, live entertainment, poetry, plays and much more... "VOV" want's to provide a platform for young people that they can relate to... where they can be heard and develop/express their talents.
Without a venue for self-expression, young people often resort to:
- Hanging out in the streets, learning bad habits
- Being peer pressured, abused verbally, physically, mentally and socially, clubing, drinking, and fights.
- Simply being in the wrong place at the wrong time

VOV Can Create Jobs
Another potential beneficiary of "VOV" are people interesting in teaching, counseling and mentoring. Because "VOV" services are directed towards community youth, we will need experienced teachers to provide training and developmental support. We would like to provide an outlet for teachers who may have been displaced from their positions due to school closings and staff cuts. And we would like to help students who attended programs or colleges but were unable to find employment in their trained field of exspertise. Help us help those people.

Easing the anxiety after a tornado. Although the town is being repaired its still a disaster stitched in the minds of those who lived it. The anxiety often triggers them to ask “could this be another tornado or flood? ”VOV" will demonstrate music & events to ease the nerves of parents and children.

Safety precautions
This event we will partner with a pro to talk about the facts and what to do and where to go if this ever happens again, so there’s a positive outcome. Recognizing the importance of learning about severe weather safety is the first step presentation.. While some people in the community suffered a bit harder than others, we still want to learn and let them learn. It doesn’t hurt to get extra knowledge on anything.
Many people have lost their friends and family to the cause of mother nature.
How will we help? " VOV" will sing and perform music to help cancel out sad remembrances. Help them to take mind off self-accusing and superstitious thoughts. Example; this would not be if I had only been there! through music "VOV" will Help them view setbacks as opportunities..
Why will vov help?
Because: The more a person dwell’s on negative thoughts, the more developed negative neural pathways become. The result can be chronic preoccupation, sadness, or even depression. "VOV" would like to help inject positive thoughts through music. Just as you don’t immediately indulge every pang of hunger, its possible you can put off sad remembrances . "VOV" can help this through music
Because: Through music VOV can Effectively engage and share with people that the difficulties that didn’t incapacitate them will make them stronger. Researchers completed an intriguing study that illustrates just how profound and widespread the effect music has on people. Studies show you can die of a broken heart; and losing a loved one doubles the risk of heart failure or stroke.
Because: Music matters. That’s what research has shown us. "VOV" will be a pioneer in the use of music to influence positive change. "VOV" will create many combinations of incredibly catchy melodies and thoughtful tunes that connects to the people. Does music heal emotional suffering? Research says yes. Further, music therapy has demonstrated efficacy as an independent treatment for reducing depression, anxiety and chronic pain.
There are several mechanisms by which music can have this effect. One, music has several positive physical effects. It can produce direct biological changes, such as reducing heart rate, blood pressure, and cortisol levels.
Also, studies suggest that exposure to pro-social lyrics increases positive thought, empathy, and helping behavior. The message in a lyric such as “We shall overcome” may be able to reach more people than all of the psychotherapists in the world combined. While some studies have proven that music can have a positive effect on social behavior as well as mental health issues
Who are they?
The ‘Bucket Boys’ are a group of street drummers that use their skills to escape the crime and poverty of their neighborhoods. However, instead of playing the drums, they play on buckets.
Their talents are wonderful but thousands of people shuffle past the ‘Bucket Boys’ every day without noticing all the hours they’ve clearly put into perfecting their skills.
The majority of the bucket drummers aren’t actually licensed to play in the street and in subway stations; which is why they regularly have to avoid being ejected or arrested by the police.
Many city ordinances restrict where and when street performers are permitted to perform. "VOV" would like to be a filter for the development of such talent.
How will "VOV" help?
"VOV"would like to exchange their paint buckets for real drums then help them hone their craft and provide a platform for the ‘Bucket Boys’ to perform.
Homelessness Prevention/ Transitional Housing Assistance
There are people around the world who don’t have a bed to go to at night after working hard the entire day, and they have no option other then out in the streets to get a night’s sleep.
Why? Many low-income families that need to move oftentimes have raised all the money they can on securing homes or apartments, leaving them no money for the small expenditures that occur when moving.
How will "VOV" help? "VOV" will rent a moving truck and provide a driver to help that family.
"VOV" would like to help with transitional housing for the homeless, by creating a program to help each person.
"VOV" will refer and or create a successful housing assistance program for our homeless clients.

We were off to a good start, but the donations did not come in strong enough, and i could not afford the monthly rent on my own anymore. :(
