Help Support Ms. Mae!

Hello everyone!

Thank you for clicking on our link. Allow us to tell you a little bit about one of our favorite and most loyal team members, Ms. Mae:

If you are a raving fan at our restaurant, then you likely have had the pleasure of being served by Ms. Mae. You can almost always find her on register 2, which will certainly be known as Ms. Mae's trademarked register long after she retires. She works mornings, afternoons, and evenings, but one thing never changes: her genuine compassion, warmth, and infectious smile that both our team members and guests know and love.

As some of you know, Ms. Mae has been battling cancer off and on for many years now. Many times it has looked like it may be completely gone, only to come back stronger. Despite countless treatment sessions and doctors visits, Ms. Mae has never complained or felt pity for herself. She has insisted on working the same amount of hours, often asking if she can stay an extra hour or two to help us through busy transition times. The truth is, her overwhelming positive attitude makes it far too easy for us to forget about what she is going through away from the store.

This brings us to the difficulties Ms. Mae has been facing away from Chick-fil-A. With the recent increase in radiation treatments and doctor’s visits, her bills are starting to pile up. Her medical situation has begun to worsen as well; with doctors telling her she is quickly losing vision in her left eye as a result of the cancer. She has done everything she can to work as much as possible despite multiple doctors visits every week at varying times.

As recently as last year, she was the primary caretaker at one point or another for each of her many grandchildren. She is also trying to help pay her daughter's medical expenses, who has been in and out of the hospital as well. The sense of urgency has escalated in the past few weeks, as Ms. Mae is facing the imminent probability she will be forced to leave her beloved home. With all that is going on, having to move out of her home would be devastating.

Ms. Mae has always been focused on helping others regardless of her own personal situation. Our team knows that if anyone has ever deserved a generous blessing, it is Ms. Mae. All of the money raised will go towards her mortgage and medical expenses. Maybe if there is a little bit leftover, she can even purchase some special presents for her grandchildren. We have no idea the proper goal and length of time to set, but we know any gift will be put to great use. Thank you very much for your time and support, we all greatly appreciate it!

*We are also gladly accepting any donations in person at our store if anyone would prefer to donate in this manner. Please indicate it is for Ms. Mae and put in an envelope and give to one of our managers.

Most importantly, please make sure to keep Ms. Mae and her family in your prayers.

With much love,
