Help a 19yo's future post operation

Hi I'm Joshua Targett, in the last year and a half I have suffered from various medical issues that have left me unable to gain employment at the current time. So I have decided to focus on my future goals and programming is one of them I'm in need of a computer with enough power and programs to do what is needed.
In July of 2014 during my last year of college I was diagnosed with ulcerative colitis, after 3 months of different treatments I was left with no option but to have my large bowel removed, this left me struggling to finish school fortunately I did just pass. Although in the last 10 months I've gone through 3 other operations, 1 major to fix what bowel is left and 2 minor to fix infections, with these surgeries and one more in the future I'm unable to gain work and spend my current days bored and unstimulated but would like to change that by programing games and apps for mobile devices and increasing my skills. I'm currently just lacking the right equipment so using the funds gained I'd have all I would need to further myself and not continue to waste my days and time.
