Hoping for a Cure: Hair-Chop-A-Thon

Donation protected
Every September, Ritter Communications participates in the annual Hoping for a Cure fundraiser in Jonesboro with fellow sponsors NEA Baptist, East Arkansas Broadcasters and KAIT Region 8 News.  Last year we raised almost $2,800.  We will be at the intersection of Caraway and Highland again this year (from 10am - 2pm on Friday, September 29th)
with our bucket brigade accepting donations and raising money and awareness in the fight against breast and prostate cancer.

As my dog Scout and I look forward to another successful event this year, I am adding a personal challenge: if we can raise $3,200 before September 25th via this GoFundMe page, I WILL CUT MY HAIR SHORT at the event on September 29th!!!  I am opening this challenge to all Ritter Employees, friends, and family as well as sponsors and the general public.

All funds (after nominal campaign fees from GoFundMe) will go towards the Susan Komen Foundation, the Hope Circle, and The Arkansas Prostate Cancer Foundation.
If we can reach this goal, we can essentially match the amount we made with the Bucket Brigade in 2016 if we continue with the same success.  Please take a moment to donate and share this post.

I will be donating my hair to a patient in need after the event.

I dedicate my challenge to my loving girlfriend, Liz Ransom, as she continues her valiant fight against cancer.  As many of you may already know, she was diagnosed with the disease in April of this year.  Upon understanding her treatment and the risk of hair loss due to chemotherapy that so many women fear every day,  I offered her my hair.  Thanks to advances in modern medicine, she very well may not need it, but I felt using it towards a good cause would be a great way to give back for our blessings.  If you haven't noticed, it's been a while since it's been trimmed and for a good reason.  It's been hard to keep it a secret for five months ;)  #RansomTough

Thank you to all of my co-workers who have championed this challenge.  Ritter Core Values at work!  Thank you to all friends and family whose support has not waivered.
