NHS - Ghana Library Book Drive

Hello friends and family, 

We are the National Honor Society of Maspeth High School and we are collaborating with the African Library Project, an organization that coordinates book drives in the U.S. and partners with African schools and villages to create small libraries.

NHS is currently hosting a book drive to collect 1,000 books (pre-school to 8th grade level) for a community library in Ghana. Every small token goes a long way for a child who does not have the same privileges as us. By building the library, we are building hope, opportunity, and - most of all - education. 

In order to ship that large amount of books, we have to raise funds to cover shipping and handling costs. Our hope is to have the payments finalized by the end of March, so we want to reach out to our community and our loved ones to ask for as much help as we can receive.
