Narcan Saves!
Donation protected

There is heroin epidemic in our country. In the last year alone, there were over 205 drug related deaths in Bucks County, PA alone.
D.A.V.E. (Drug Addiction oVerdose Education, Inc.)
is focused on helping to save lives by getting Naloxone (the life-saving antidote to heroin) into the hands of the friends and family members of those who struggle with the disease of addiction while giving a voice to the discussion of addiction as a disease.
D.A.V.E. was founded by Cathy Messina of Warminster, PA in memory of her son David who lost his battle with addiction at the age of 21 in February 2014. Like many who succumb to addiction, David was a great young man who came from a loving and stable home. Despite having every advantage, heroin became a part of David's world and eventually claimed his life.
Addiction is chronic but very treatable. The lives of those impacted are worth saving. D.A.V.E is committed to helping to keep people alive until they can help themselves.
100% of all donations will be used to purchase Naloxone kits that will be distributed through training sessions. Each kit costs $75 and contains 2 doses. A session for 50 individuals costs $3,750. Donations of any size would be appreciated.
Since January 2015, 500 kits and over 1,000 doses of Narcan have been distributed during 12 training sessions. Your donation will help us continue these efforts. All donations to D.A.V.E. are tax deductible.
