Why?
For many years there has been a need for recreation sports fields in Newfield. We are very fortunate to have recreation sports available to all of our youth, but we don’t currently have the facilities. We have been able to use the school’s facilities, but it is difficult to schedule all of the various games and practices within the limited amount of space fairly.
What?
The initial proposal is to build a softball/baseball field, a football/soccer field and a basketball court with a small parking lot and portable restrooms. This enables the community to begin using the fields quickly (projected summer of 2017). In the future, aligning with Newfield Recreation Program growth and funding, we will potentially add permanent restrooms, concessions, walking/running paths, picnic area, additional sports fields and additional parking.
Where?
The town of Newfield purchased about 20 acres of land a number of years ago just off Main Street on Van Kirk Road.
Leave your fingerprint!
Of course, these facilities will cost money to build and to maintain. We are asking the entire Newfield community to leave their fingerprint by contributing in any way you can! Once the facility has been completed, there are a number of tournaments, camps, and other ways to bring in funding to help offset the cost to the community.
How to Donate: (all donations will be returned if project is canceled)

Check/Cash- make checks out to Newfield Community Park and can be directed to any committee member or dropped off at the Newfield Town Hall. (Mon-Thurs 8:00-4:00, Fri 8-1:00).
All donations will be issued a receipt for tax purposes.
