Nigeria Medical Mission Trip 2017

Hello Everyone,
My name is Matthew Misenheimer. This December I will be traveling with Pre-Medical Students Making a Difference, a student organization at Georgia State University. There I will be helping with medical care by doing tasks like taking vitals, checking blood glucose levels, and dispensing medication.
In Delta State, Nigeria we will spend a lot of our time working in villages like onicha ugbo and igbodo to provide our services. These health fairs attract over 200 people from each village that have not received health care in years. This area severely lacks adequate health care and a majority of the deaths in this area come from conditions that could have been prevented through awareness of the condition or medication to treat it. We will be working with the Isioma T. Okobah Foundation, an organization that strives to provide adequate health care to this area by hosting health fairs every year, to provide free services to anyone willing to come to the health fairs.
The unconditional love and compassion of our Lord Jesus Christ is all powerful, but it will take all of our individual efforts combined to help send his message throughout our world and into open arms, and the arms of these wonderful people.
I am requesting your thoughtful consideration to help me serve on this medical mission team. Each student is responsible for paying for our own airline tickets, passports, visas and other expenses such as medications and toys for the kids. The total cost for me to go is $2500. This money will provide entirely and only for the necessary materials.
Throughout my life, I have always had a passion to help people who are less fortunate than me. Being able to go back on this mission trip would really mean everything to me. As a college student, I simply do not have the funds needed to go on this mission trip. With your help, we can make this happen again. I am asking for your support in helping me to make a difference in this world. Even if you cannot donate please help me get the word out, thanks!
