OTs for Israel - From Shelter to Shelter

Leeat Medalion, MOT of MoveToGrow/Medalion Occupational Therapy Consulting PLLC, a home-based pediatric clinic and Chaya Gottesman, MOT of Sensation New York, a pediatric sensory gym on the Upper West Side in Manhattan are spearheading this campaign to gather US OT volunteers to bring therapeutic programs and activities in and near bomb shelters in Israel.

We are US occupational therapists looking to bring some relief to the traumatized residents of Israel.

With only 15 seconds to get to shelter when a siren goes off people are staying close to home and are not traveling to clinics for therapy.  We are coordinating with local Israeli OTs and volunteers to supply our trip with the funds it needs to travel around Israeli neighborhoods, purchase supplies to provide therapeutic activities for emotional and physical healing while under fire.
