Obese Beagle Water Rehab Fund

Tax deductible
Hound Rescue  is a 501c3 dog rescue focused on rescuing beagles and beagle mixes from Central Texas shelters. We often take the senior or medical cases that require significant care because they're in the greatest danger.

Dash is a case in point. He is an approximately 10-year-old, obese beagle, who needs special care. The vets have warned us that his frame simply can't support his weight right now; but, of course, he needs to exercise (along with diet) to achieve the much-needed weight loss. The good news is that Dash is, quite simply, about the sweetest guy around. His life can't have been / be easy right now, but he's handling it like a champ!

Our vets have recommended a water therapy program, which we will need to follow 3+ times a week until he reaches 50 lbs, the weight at which he can start with normal walks. With a shout out to Canine Sports Rehab , which has offered us a significant rescue discount, each session will cost $30. Our goal for this campaign is to raise $900, which would cover 3 visits a week for the next 10 weeks. Hopefully, that will get him down to a walking weight.

Any amount will help - if 180 people each gave $5 we'd reach our goal! All donations are tax-deductible and will go towards Dash's therapy. Should we exceed our funding goal, additional donations will support some of our other current medical cases. Sadly, there are many.

You can learn more about Hound Rescue , and the beagles/hounds currently in our care, at HoundRescue.com . Many of our dogs  have been with us for awhile now -- but all would love to move on to homes of their own.

Thank you for helping the hounds!
