Olivia goes to Nepal with Debate Mate

Hello everybody!
I have been working for Debate Mate for two years now. This is an international, educational charity which runs after school clubs in areas of high child poverty. I must say, I did not begin the programme with a whole deal of faith. However, during the last two years I have witnessed the children I have mentored developing and progressing in a remarkable way. I, myself, have noticed a vast improvement, in their confidence and communication. Many teachers have also noticed a change in their school work, concentration and general way of thinking. A girl I taught last year went from a D to an A star in her GCSE English oral exam, a remarkable improvement, which she said was all thanks to debate mate!
Debate mate have offered me a chance to go with them to Nepal for three weeks this summer to mentor in a school there. However, for this to happen, I will need to fundraise 1000 pounds in the coming months! I will update this page with details on what I am planning on doing to fundraise this money.
