Raising money for the Bellaire House from being taken so the paranormal community can further afterlife research through investigation & film documentation.

****Project Description****

In 2004, Kristin Lee's family, was left homeless due to two flash floods that ran through a little town called Quincey, Ohio. After months of being displaced, Kristin Lee, found the Bellaire House on a Belmont County Auditors site of foreclosed homes. Having very little money, she contacted the realtor to get information of, what is now known as, the Bellaire House. Overnight, the bank accepted her bid on the home and Kristin Lee and her family would be moving into the Bellaire House a few weeks later. "We were so happy, we finally felt like we were able to rebuild our lives. We had beds, health & comforts, a table to eat dinner together as a family, a big yard for the kids and our family dog to play in, but then, it all changed". After a few weeks of living inside the Bellaire House, Kristin started to notice 'odd' things happening! Things would come up missing and she would hear footsteps in the attic, but no one was there. She blamed it on the stress of the floods, being homeless for a period of time, working two jobs, and being enrolled in graduate school full-time. " I thought I was just tired and questioned my sanity. I never believed in the paranormal, because I’m a trained forensic mental health professional, as well as, a master level psychologist. I blamed psychology until there was no more psychological reasoning". One by one, Kristin Lee's family members left, until she was the only person who lived inside of the Bellaire House. She rented the house out a few times, but everyone reported the house was haunted and they would end up leaving.

In 2009, she reached out to Ohio Valley Paranormal Research Investigations (OVPRI) to come into the house and see what was going on. Kristin's claims noted as strong and unbelievable according to Mike McCallister of OVPRI. After OVPRI's first investigation, Mike had to call in another team; in fact, Kristin Lee's claims of a violent haunting was indeed...REAL! They documented over 1,000 hours of data to prove that the Bellaire House was haunted by an inhuman spirit. Beside herself, Kristin filed bankruptcy on the house and surrendered it---she walked away. She just wanted out and to rebuild her life again. After the bankruptcy was over, she was contacted by the Bellaire code enforcer. Through the conversation, Kristin learned that she still owned the house. It was reported that she was discharged from the house, but no one wanted the house; therefore, she was left responsible to maintain the property. This meant: Kristin and her family had to come back to the Bellaire House to care for it; if she didn't, she would be fined daily by the code enforcer. She rented a tiny apartment in Saint Clairsville, Ohio because of the activity inside of the Bellaire House- she was unable to live there, as she walked away when she surrendered it.

Before Kristin left the house, she sat down to write a book to the next homeowners of the house- as she thought that when you file bankruptcy one is released; she did not believe she would need to return. She wanted to give the next family, who may have bought the house, a heads up about the activity and referrals to call in case needed. Her story was featured on the Bio Channels "My Ghost Story," then that episode was sold to Lifetime Televison. Village officials asked her to conduct paranormal tours of the Bellaire House to help build revenue for the village of Bellaire; Kristin didn't want to, as she just wanted to walk away and be free from the Bellaire House. She offered the Bellaire House to the village officials for $1.00, but the village officials knew without Kristin, they didn't stand a chance to profit. She was stuck with the Bellaire House, and without conforming to the village officials' ideas to run tours out of the house, she would be on her own to deal with all the responsibilities of the house.

A few months of the tours, a man was pushed through the second story window by an evil entity. Kristin Lee had warned the officials someone was going to die inside of that house; she recommended the need to 'pull the plug' on the operation. The house sat empty for awhile. Eventually, the house was rented out, as the tenants left; occurring multiple times. In 2014, the last renters left. Kristin Lee then reached out to Bishop James Long, of the Old Catholic Church, to help her. At the time, Bishop James Long was raising money for his homeless mission. Kristin knew Bishop James Long was needed, as he is known to be a very famous exorcist that has been on television helping people with violent hauntings. Kristin Lee was then trained by many of the best in the field, to learn how to cope with the Bellaire House. In 2015, she opened the house as a paranormal research center for researchers and psychologists to study the paranormal.

The Bellaire House became so popular, as it was also deemed one of the most haunted attractions in the USA, that Nick Groff, formally from Ghost Adventures, came to Kristin Lee and asked to feature the Bellaire House on his new show Paranormal Lockdown. Nick Groff wanted to help Kristin Lee, because he too had a family and his heart cried for her tragedy, loss, and separations. Paranormal Lockdown, featuring the Bellaire House, aired January 21, 2017; 28 million viewers were left speechless. Skeptics turned into believers of the afterlife, and the house became very busy with researchers trying to find answers to prove life after death, there is a God, and we as human beings need to learn how to work together and love each other unconditionally. The Bellaire House was to remind people that in the end God's raidiant light can overcome any darkness, and in the end good always wins...ALWAYS! Having faith in a higher power is the turning key to hope and pure love for all; working with each other is the foundation in which positive change can be made universally. Kristin said, "This was the most wonderful time at the house; I saw everyone working and helping each other- it was pure love and happiness, despite what triggered it."

In March 2017, Kristin received a phone call from a company in NY. The representative from this company told her she owed $35,000 on her mortgage for 1699 Belmont Street, Bellaire, Ohio. Kristin informed the representative that she filed bankruptcy and was discharged from the debt; as she also noted that no one wanted the house (as it did not sell), which made her again responsible for the Bellaire House in 2011. Kristin was told by her village code enforcer she had to come home & take care of all responsibilities of the Bellaire House. She fought the code enforcer telling him she wasn't responsible due to the bankruptcy-She was discharged. She told the mortgage company that The code enforcer and her attorney both then told her "No one wants the house- it's yours."  She went on & on telling them that She moved back to Ohio and had continually made all the repairs, maintained the property, paid the property taxes, and in 2017 LLC'd the Bellaire House on January 20th through Legal Zoom, and received a EIN number to be taxed as a afterlife research center to further study the afterlife. Kristin explained to the mortgage company that had there been any debt, Legal Zoom would have never permitted her an EIN number or an LLC. The NY mortgage company bought the old bankruptcy note, and then violated a federal bankruptcy law by contacting Kristin Lee and asking her to repay the debt. She contacted her attorney and he agreed with the federal violation, but said mortgage company could legally take the house because she didn't owe the money, the house did.

After three weeks of fighting with the mortgage company they released the debt to their creditors, and now want a settlement of $35,000 or they will foreclose on the Bellaire House. The creditors also reported that many "Paranornal people have called them and tried to assume the debt & operate the Bellaire House as a haunted attraction without Kristin Lee & her family. " One man called Kristin Lee and told her his intent was to take it from her! As she worked out the financial negotiations with the creditor, people still called to try to take the Bellaire House. The trigger to them calling was this gofundme page. There names were listed bedside Kristin wanted to be on the up with everyone because this is a large amount of money. The creditors told Kristin that she was the talk of the office and their legal people wanted her to take their names off. So she took the entire description down.

Kristin Lee then contacted her local attorney to discuss the situation; she was advised to let the house go and to not assume the debt (as Kristin was discharged from the Bellaire House due to filing bankruptcy, but did the right thing and maintained the Bellaire House). Now, the creditor has turned around and demanded $50,000 they will foreclose. They have the wrong people waiting in line to buy it for themselves, use her families tragedy for profit!

The $35,000 settlement is still possible, but the paranormal community needs to work fast & together to save the Bellaire House! We have until June 30th. The Bellaire House may be falling into the hands of the wrong person and someone may do really horrible things, or someone will get hurt. The creditor said Paranornal Sharks are in line to get the house if it forecloses.

"Recently, we have found out through our attorney, in 2011 when I filed bankruptcy, the mortgage company never foreclosure on the home when I surrendered the house, they sold it. The note sat on someone's desks for years, and now that it is popular and deemed haunted, someone in Paranornal thinks they can make money off of hardships and take the paranornal communities years of research and make it his or her own. This is a strong claim of mine, but my gut told me to get out of that house and my gut tells me this shindig is really going down. They want the house and they will exploit my family and the Heatheringtons, who were the original homeowners of the house."

This history of the Heatheringtons is very long; many have researched the Bellaire House, as pieces of the puzzle are starting to come together. Kristin Lee and others have worked this case for 12 years; Kristin states, "I refuse to be exploited and see my paranormal friends work be stolen by someone with filthy fingers. Or worse, I am wrong and the house forcloses and a mundane & innocent family moves in- God forbid that to happen." We have to keep it in the paranormal community, we have no choice- if we want answers about life after death, we need to raise this money now. Kristin reports, "I have to protect myself, and all of our work, as well as doing everything I can to prevent another family from getting hurt. I am finally at peace with the Bellaire House, but I would not be without the help of the paranormal community taking me and my family under their wing, training us, and accepting us as part of their family."

She also said, "In life there are three major important things: faith, family, and unconditional love for all of God's creation. We all wonder what is on the other side after our energy leaves our human body, as we transition to the other side. I know there is another side- the Bellaire House has taught me that. I was so scared in the beginning of this journey; I thought I would have to walk alone, but instead I found that thousands of people from different faith bases & cultures stood beside me, which made all of us unite together peacefully."

This is our chance to continue afterlife research. When we lose a loved one, there is a wonder if he or she is okay (this includes family pets too). Some may think they feel or see them, but nothing is definitive without a structure to research. We all want to know, for sure, that our deceased loved ones crossed over and are together in "heaven," or what ever one believes it to be labeled. I don't know what will happen if our paranormal community loses the Bellaire House. What resides in the Bellaire House isn't just a violent haunting; throughout the years, it has been learned that love breaks down evil because of the Bellaire House. We choose positive over negative, we have helped recondition people's fears, and have watched pure confirmations that there truly is life after death. I don't know what will happen if it falls into the hands of someone who isn't of pure love & light & that thought has made me sick to
My stomach for weeks.

The video on the website is the most recent data collection by Steven Huff (who was also featured on Paranormal Lockdown), who traveled from Arizona to Ohio to help save the Bellaire House. This is his work; the video (data) is very powerful. Steven Huff's father, Olee, came through- and for the psychologists, it's not suggestive BUT it truly happens- you just have to be open from now on.
Please just sit back and watch this so you can truly see how we do things out of pure love, light and respect. Thank you from the bottom of all of our hearts, at the Bellaire House. Also, a big thank you to Steven Huff, his wife, and family for supporting him to come to the Bellaire House!

"I pray to all the gods that someone of love and light & the with right intentions will come forth to invest as a operational partner to where our family can be protected and not exploited & we can make sure the research is honored with integrity. Our family would like some peace but we can't be at peace knowing this could fall into the hands of the wrong person. If you can't donate then please pray with us. Thank you!"
