Pat Adrien Dorval Fights the Big C
Donation protected
At the end of June, Pat was diagnosed with esophageal cancer and his treatment began September 5, 2017. He will receive 23 radiation treatments over the course of 5 weeks, as well as chemotherapy once per week to help shrink the tumour. He will then have time off treament to recover for surgery to remove the tumour and affected part of his esophagus. Pat has not worked since July and has to stay in Vancouver Monday to Friday for treatment as an outpatient, so costs are beginning to add up and no one really knows how long he will be off work. Pat's partner, Allithia, has been working hard to bring him healthy food and nutritious smoothies as he has barely been able to eat for months - anyone who has seen him can see that he has lost a tremendous amount of weight in a very short period of time. He has also been seeing a nutritionist and using supportive natural therapies to get him through the summer. We are all grateful that the treatment has begun, but it is a long road ahead.
We will be having a fundraiser at the Gibsons Legion hall on October 21, hosted by Pat's acting group, Coast Actors Studio, but if you are unable to attend, you may donate using this page. (Keep your eye on Facebook for more information about the event - it will be a super fun night of entertainment!)
Your thoughts and prayers are also hugely appreciated. A new twist on an old mantra...
Pat Adrien Dorval Will Be Just Fine.
XOXO
