Puerto Rico Hurricane Maria Relief
Donation protected
On Wednesday, Sept. 20 Puerto Rico was devastated by a Cat 4 hurricane. As many of you may have seen on news reports or Facebook posts, the island currently doesn't have electricity, very few have running water and most are incommunicated. The mayor of my hometown estimated the municipality will be without water for 4-6 months and without electricity for about 9 months. The estimated costs of damage to the island is nearly $40 billion.
In my hometown of Penuelas, 1,500 families lost the roofs to their homes. As of Saturday there were still 84 families in emergency shelters.
The funds from this fundraiser will go to help the people of Puerto Rico. Your contributions are more than appreciated and I will make sure that every penny is used wisely.
