Paul McInnis gave Seven Lakes North and South 19 years of his life providing maintenance and beautification to our community. He used his skills in concrete, welding, carpentry, road care, building improvement, lakes, pool management, landscaping, plumbing and general maintenance to keep Seven Lakes looking the best it could. Paul had hoped that he would be able to retire from here, his home away from home, but two and a half years shy of that, the Seven Lakes Board of Directors decided that the community could no longer afford it, and dissolved our maintenance department as of March 31, 2018.
The timing couldn't have been worse, as Paul, who just had cataract surgery on one eye in February, was scheduled to have his other eye corrected in May or June of this year. To make matters worse, his health insurance was not extended past his last day. He has been offered an extension of his insurance through the Cobra plan, but the Association will not be covering any of the cost, which Paul will be hard pressed to cover.
Paul has worked very hard all his life, and has developed severe knee problems from his many years of maintenance work. He has difficulty walking , let alone putting any strain or weight on them. Finding work will not be easy for him because of it. For those of you who have gotten to know Paul over the years, you know the man, and his willingness to help anyone here in Seven Lakes. In this time of uncertainty and stress, his family will be deeply indebted for whatever you can donate.
God Bless you, and thanks for your generosity and kindness...
