Rhys' Three Peak Challenge

So whats our Challenge? We will Climb the three highest mountains in the United Kingdom, Benevis, Scarfel Pike and Snowden in just 4 days on June 20th - 24th 2018 and to add to the Challenge, on the last day Rhys will be carried on back up and down Snowdonia to add to his list of Challenges!  Why?  We are raising money for Pens Meadow Parent Outreach Service which is a subsidiary of the Pens Meadow Home School Association. The Outreach is an amazing provision designed to provide practical hands on support to parents and families of the children and young people of Pens Meadow. The Outreach team provide a wrap around service supporting the needs of the the family as whole, recognising that children with specialist educational needs affects the whole family.     The outreach team aim to provide early intervention support with families in order to solve problems and strengthen relationships and insure the pupils are happy and ready to learn.  We would like to raise £2.500 so that the outreach team can develop and facilitate inclusive groups and activities across the school for pupils and their families e.g Siblings Support Group Sea-side trip Parent inclusion activities  Celebratory events  There is a nurturing and caring attitude that's spread right across the Pens Meadow HSA, Outreach Team and Pens Meadow School that is really tangible and precious. The activities and support for families and children mostly exist because of the motivation, commitment and hard work from the staff, volunteers and parents driving them. Without any exaggeration i can say without the support from the Outreach team, mine and Rhy's experience at school would be difficult and sometimes enduring for life is hard enough as it is with everything that Rhys has to go through. As a parent i really do feel that they have not just Rhys's best interests at heart but mine too.
