We  are the 5th and 6th generation Pestelois. Our ancestors built a beautiful seaside town in the southwest region of Haiti, called Grand 'Anse. This countryside  region is the main source of agriculture for other Haitian cities. It is rich in its people and land.

The October 4, 2016 Hurricane Matthew (category 4) demolished close to 90% of Pestel's homes, schools, hospital, ports, agriculture and stock. Families were left without the basics - homeless, hungry, with a lack of clothes, medicine, and clean water.

Your donations will be used to help rebuild some of the homes of families affected by this natural disaster, and to provide necessary supplies and relief throughout the community.

Time is of the essence.  Pestel Haiti Action Fund's mission is to secure funding, food and supplies, and to rebuild our town. We are not affilitated with international relief organizations. We are families collaborating and we will be impactful as during our 2010 Earthquake Relief. Fund and transfers will be securely managed by Sasha Lalite for safe transfer and rebuilding efforts and supply distribution.  Below are some photos of the hurricane devastation and past successful relief efforts. We are also sharing with you the beauty of Pestel prior to the hurricane.

Please spread the word, every little bit helps. We appreciate your love and support! Our goal is to raise $30,000.

We are hopeful and we are resilient!

We will provide updates and photos as we distribute relief and rebuild.

Come join in our efforts!
