Pimicikamak Cree Nation Fundraiser

My name is Taylor, I am 19 years old and living in Winnipeg. On March 9th, I read about the Pimicikamak Cree community, located about 700 kilometres north of Winnipeg. The Pimicikamak Cree Nation, also know as Cross Lake First Nation, declared a state of emergency after 140 suicide attempts in the last two weeks, and 6 suicides in the last two months. This community is deeply struggling to get back onto its feet, and I am hoping to collect donations to fund suicide prevention efforts for the future. I am also in contact with the Director of Health Services in Cross Lake, who will let us know if they require any type of specific item during this time. Please consider donating to this page to connect this community with the resources they need.
