Marilyn & Ray Weaver Family

Donation protected
Marilyn F. Weaver, 47, of Reading, PA, died Saturday, February 11, 2017 at Reading Hospital from a brain hemorrhage. You can view her Caring Bridge here: https://www.caringbridge.org/visit/marilynweaver

She would have been married 25 years on July 3 to W. Ray Weaver.
Marilyn was a homemaker most of her life but worked for a time as a Medical Assistant in Phoenix, AZ and Ephrata, PA. She was a member of New Covenant Mennonite Fellowship where she served as a Sunday school teacher and taught Vacation Bible School. She was also a Homeschool mom and enjoyed scrapbooking, hospitality, taking care of babies and the elderly, counseling with Crisis Pregnancy Center, and spending time with her family. She also served with Gospel Express as a secretary for a year, and served with her husband and children as missionaries in Ghana, Africa for five years.

Surviving in addition to her parents and husband are 5 sons, Preston, married to Brieanna (Martin) Weaver of Adamstown, Kendrick, Adrian, Jeremy, and Karsten Weaver all at home.

Ray Weaver (Marilyn's Widower) shared during a young married retreat recently (Yes he taught at a young married retreat 3 weeks after his wifes death!) the amazing ways God has provided during their marriage and the great memories they made as a couple.
Ray and Marilyn have lived a life of hospitality, giving, and loving people. Caring more about others than themselves. Focusing on serving the Lord in ministry rather than financial gain.
Many have benefited from Ray's teachings whether it was in the various Christian schools he taught in, Sunday school, or in counselling sessions at Door of Hope, where he serves as a counselor.

Now the reason we are raising money.

Ray also shared about a very unfortunate event and timing that caused Marilyn’s life insurance to end on the day she went into the hospital! Not kidding!! Because she was in the hospital in the ICU there was nothing they could do to get the paper work problem corrected to reinstate the coverage before her death.

We don't understand why this happened but we do know that God can work through His people to do better and greater things then any life insurance company can.

Ray Weaver is now raising his 4 boys without their mother to save the family money by grocery shopping, cooking, laundry, cleaning, and an hundred other things you don't think about. Ray is now faced with the challenge of how to support his family financially while having a host of additional responsibilities. This money will help Ray pay for funeral expenses, and assist with the increased living expenses. It will reduce the stress of having to make money and allow him to give the time his children need as they continue to mourn the loss of their mother. It will also help with up coming education expenses for the boys.

We hope you can be part of blessing Ray and his family.
